Robert Frost poem

Reread Mary Lou's description on page 119 of her classroom discussion about the meaning of the Robert Frost poem.  Based on the information in Mary Lou's journal entry, what do you think the woods in the poem represent?  Be sure to answer in complete sentences, and provide textual evidence to support your answer.

  1. I think the woods represent a goal and the road represents a path to the woods but there is snow on the road and that symbolizes the bad days in your life that slow you down. My evidence is ..."Iv'e always liked that one about stopping by the woods on a snowy night."

  2. I think the words represent a new beginning on a new road for someone.The text says I've always liked that one about stopping by the woods on a snowy light. That is why i thin the poem represent a new begging on a new road.

  4. I agree with Mekayla, that the woods represents something she wants to achieve. And the road is what she has to do to achieve what she wants to achieve." I've always liked that on about stopping by the woods on a snowy night." Her teacher asked them what they think that the road and woods symbolized.
